Reaction to Star Trek: Enterprise - September 26, 2001
Here is a portion of my thoughts on the pilot episode:

"...the vocal, title theme is the least of this series apparent problems...as unfitting as I found it to be. Simply put, the title theme sets the tone for a very un-Star Trek like feel. The historical montage was alright, but the song is just not a good fit. Perhaps we will all get used to it though....I have to say that Dennis McCarthy's contribution was the only saving grace of the pilot...and maybe Zimmerman's art direction. McCarthy's distinctive touch was the only thing that connected Enterprise to the ST universe."
