Simone by Carter Burwell Cover & Info - July 24, 2002

Original Motion Picture Soundtrack
Music Composed by CARTER BURWELL

A contemporary satire of Hollywood, SIMONE is the story of a disillusioned director, played by Al Pacino, who creates the first totally believable synthetic actress. Unbeknownst to the public, this producer decides to
replace a lead actress who abruptly drops out of his film with computer-generated starlet Simone. Swept up by her instant success, including a major recording career, he cannot bear to admit his fraud to the world or
to himself.

One of the most original and anticipated films of the summer, SIMONE is a new film from Andrew Niccol, the director of the acclaimed Gattaca.

With the entire canon of Coen Brothers films behind him (Fargo, Raising Arizona, O Brother, Where Art Thou, etc.), Carter Burwell was the perfect composer for this wry film of Hollywood taking a closer look at itself, from
the writer of The Truman Show.

Soundtrack release date is scheduled for August 20, 2002.

Eight Legged Freaks Cover and Info. - July 1, 2002

Eight Legged Freaks by John OttmanEIGHT LEGGED FREAKS
Original Motion Picture Soundtrack
Released by Varese Sarabande

Music Composed by JOHN OTTMAN

From the producers of INDEPENDENCE DAY and GODZILLA -

As every fan of classic spine-tinglers knows, given the opportunity and the right chemical enhancement, arachnids will grow to humongous size and wreak havoc upon humanity. In Eight Legged Freaks the residents of a rural mining town discover that an unfortunate chemical spill has caused hundreds of little spiders to mutate into the size of SUVs.

And they're hungry.

When the alarm is sounded, it is up to mining engineer Chris McCormick (DAVID ARQUETTE) and Sheriff Sam Parker (KARI WUHRER) to mobilize an eclectic group of townspeople, including the Sheriff's young son, Mike (SCOTT TERRA), her daughter, Ashley (SCARLETT JOHANSSON), paranoid radio announcer Harlan Griffith (DOUG E. DOUG) and Deputy Pete Willis (RICK OVERTON) into battle against the bloodthirsty eight-legged beasts.

With state-of-the-art visual effects conceived and rendered by CFX (Independence Day), Eight Legged Freaks updates such inspired genre classics as Them and The Black Scorpion.

The wildly wacky score is a little bit retro and a whole lotta fun.

Warner Bros. opens Eight Legged Freaks opens nationwide on over 2500 screens on July 19. Scheduled soundtrack release date is July 23, 2002/
